• What was it?

I have lost many things ever since my childhood, but I would like to mention the time when I lost my favourite toy, a stuffed bear named Teddy. It was a gift from my grandparents on my fifth birthday, and I loved him so much that I never went to sleep without him even for a day!

• How did you lose it?

I lost Teddy when I was out playing in the park with my friends and I think I must have left him on a bench while I was playing tag. After playing, when I went back to get him, he was gone. Even though I searched everywhere around the park, I couldn’t find him.

• Why was it important to you?

Teddy was important to me because he was more than just a toy. He was my best friend and I took him everywhere with me. He always made me feel safe and happy, as a kid. Losing him felt like losing a part of myself.

• Explain how you felt about it.

I felt devastated when I realized Teddy was gone. I cried for days and couldn’t sleep without him. I missed his comforting presence and the memories we shared. I felt guilty for being careless and wished I could go back in time to prevent it from happening. Even though I never found Teddy, losing him taught me the importance of being responsible and taking care of my belongings. Though I still miss Teddy, I know he will always hold a special place in my heart.

• What was it? 

Throughout my child, I often got scolded by my mom for not putting things back where they belonged after use. I had a habit of forgetting about stuff or misplacing them. One time, I lost something really important, my keys. They were not just any keys, but the ones to my motorbike and office.

• How did you lose it? 

It was a big deal because I needed them to get around and do my work. I think I might have dropped them when I was out swimming.

• Why was it important to you?

Losing those keys caused a lot of problems for me. Without them, I couldn’t start my motorbike or get into my office. It was really frustrating because I had important things to do that day and I needed to submit some documents to my boss, and I didn’t know how I was going to do it without those keys. It was a tough day for me and I didn’t want my boss to think I was irresponsible and careless. I knew I had to find a way to explain what happened, but I didn’t know how.

• Explain how you felt about it.

Losing those keys taught me a valuable lesson about being more careful with my belongings. I realized how important it is to keep track of things and not take them for granted. From that day on, I made sure to always put my keys in a safe place and double-check before leaving anywhere. It was a tough lesson to learn, but it made me a more responsible person in the end.

• What was it?

I remember losing my first wristwatch, a shiny silver one with a blue strap and it was a birthday gift from my parents. It is something that I wear every day with pride.

• How did you lose it? 

I lost my wristwatch while playing soccer with my friends in the park as I took it off before the game started, placing it on the grass next to where we were playing. When the game ended, I forgot to pick it up, and by the time I found out that it was already gone.

• Why was it important to you?

That wristwatch meant a lot to me because it was a symbol of responsibility and growing up. It was my first real piece of accessories, and it made me feel mature and important. Plus, it was a gift from my parents, so it held sentimental value too.

• Explain how you felt about it.

Losing my wristwatch made me feel disappointed and upset and I even felt like I let my parents down by being careless with something they gave me. I also missed the convenience of having a watch to tell time and keep track of my schedule. Even though I couldn’t replace that exact wristwatch, I learned to cherish the memories it gave me and to take better care of the things that are important to me.

1. What do you feel when you lose something important to you?

When I lose something important, I feel really worried and upset. It will be a mix of feeling anxious and frustrated at the same, especially if it is something valuable or special to me. I also feel bad because I know it’s my fault for not being careful enough and it gives an awful feeling not knowing if I will ever find it again.

2. What kind of people may lose things often?

People who are easily distracted are more likely to lose things often. Also, those who are constantly in a rush or do not pay much attention to where they put their belongings are the ones who may lose things frequently.

3. What would you do if you saw something valuable but didn’t belong to you on the street?

If I found something valuable that didn’t belong to me on the street, my first action would be to find out the original owner. For instance, if it’s a purse, I would straight away take it to the nearby police station so they could help return it. One another thing I would do is post about it on social media to get it back to its owner.

4. What kinds of things have you lost so far?

Until this day I have lost a variety of things. For example, I remember misplacing my wallet, home keys, and phone on different occasions. I also remember losing a cherished piece of jewellery gifted by my dearest friend. It is really frustrating because each time I lose something, it causes me a major inconvenience and makes me sulk for days.
