Some People Think it is Important to Use Leisure Time - Sample Answer 1
Some individuals assert that spare time should be spent on some healthy indoor activities such as reading and doing scrabble. In contrast, others believe it is essential to rest to recharge the mind without consciously having any thoughts. This essay will discuss both sides of this contentious argument, and then I will give my perspectives.
To start with, leafing through a storybook and playing crossword games are effective ways of reducing stress. No matter how much anxiety we face in daily life, the pressure may slip away when we lose ourselves in a great story of a fiction book or focus on solving the crossword puzzles. Reading helps to distract one from the tension one faces and keeps it in the present moment. Additionally, these activities foster cognitive stimulation. Studies have shown that being mentally active through activities such as reading and doing puzzles preclude one from losing brain power and reduce the progress of dementia. Like any other muscle in our body, brain muscle needs to be exercised to stay active.
On the flipper side, it is claimed that resting the mind helps obtain peacefulness and relaxation. Therefore, people who soothe their brains during leisure time are less likely to fatigue during worktime. To illustrate this, a recent survey by Harvard University found that individuals who take a nap or rest on a balcony enjoying the landscape are happier at work and less stressed. However, developing high levels of relaxation could create laziness among workers and, to prevent this, it is paramount to practice mental flexibility.
In conclusion, I would like to say that constructive activities in our leisure time could immensely benefit us. Moreover, by doing these activities, one can gain plenty of knowledge to assist them in their coming life.

Some People Think it is Important to Use Leisure Time - Sample Answer 2
Some people believe that leisure time should be spent on activities that stimulate the mind, such as reading books or solving puzzles, while others argue that free time should be used to rest the mind. In my opinion, although mental exercises are beneficial, relaxation is equally important.
On the one hand, engaging in intellectually stimulating activities during leisure time can improve cognitive abilities. Reading, for example, helps individuals expand their knowledge, improve vocabulary, and develop critical thinking skills. Similarly, activities like crossword puzzles or brain games can enhance memory and concentration, which are especially useful in today’s competitive world. Therefore, using leisure time productively can contribute to personal growth and lifelong learning.
On the other hand, many people feel that leisure time should allow the mind to relax after long hours of work or study. Modern lifestyles are often stressful, and without proper mental rest, individuals may experience burnout or anxiety. Activities such as watching movies, listening to music, or simply doing nothing help reduce stress and maintain emotional well-being. From this perspective, rest is essential for maintaining a healthy balance in life.
In my view, both mental stimulation and relaxation play important roles. A balanced approach, where people engage in productive activities while also allowing time for rest, is the most effective way to use leisure time.

Some People Think it is Important to Use Leisure Time - Sample Answer 3
There is a debate about how people should use their leisure time. Some believe it is important to spend free time on activities that improve the mind, while others think that leisure time should be used to rest. This essay will discuss both views and give my opinion.
Those who support using leisure time for mental improvement argue that such activities are useful and educational. Reading books, for instance, increases knowledge and helps people learn new ideas. Word puzzles and similar activities can also improve thinking skills and keep the brain active. As a result, people may become more confident and better prepared for work or studies.
However, others feel that the main purpose of leisure time is to relax the mind. After a busy day, people need a break to reduce stress and feel refreshed. Watching television, spending time with family, or relaxing at home can help people feel happier and more comfortable. Without enough rest, individuals may feel tired and lose motivation.
In my opinion, leisure time should include both types of activities. While improving the mind is important, resting the mind is also necessary. A good balance between the two can help people stay healthy and productive.
