Sports have a long history in India. Cricket is certainly the most popular sport in the country, although a lot of people play many other sports. One of the popular sports celebrities in India is Neeraj Chopra. He is an Indian track and field athlete, the reigning Olympic Champion in the javelin throw.
Neeraj Chopra represented India at the 2020 Olympics and earned a gold medal. He was also the first Indian track and field athlete to win the IAAF global U20 championships in 2016, when he recorded a world record throw of 86.48 meters, making him the first Indian athlete to do so. He has also won a number of medals in other events. For example, he competed in both the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the 2018 Asian Games, acting as the flag bearer in the latter and winning gold medals in both.
At the young age of 12, Neeraj Chopra weighed a hefty 90 kg. Even though he was never interested in athletics, he began training to stay healthy. It is only because of his dedication and perseverance in attaining his goals. He also has distinct attributes and powerful, commendable qualities that aided his success in the sport. He is one of just two Indians to have won an individual Olympic gold medal as of 2021, as well as the youngest Indian Olympic gold medallist in an individual event and the only one to win gold on his Olympic debut. He championed personal battles and background constraints to ace this momentous milestone with perfection.

Among the many celebrities in my country, I like Mary Kom the most for some reasons. Chungneijang Mary Kom Hmanget, popularly known as Mary Kom, is a charming lady and an Indian Olympic boxer. She is the only female pugilist to have won the World Amateur Boxing Championship six times, and she is the only female ringster to have won a medal in each of the seven world championships.
In 2014, Mary Kom became the first Indian woman boxer to win a gold medal at the Asian Games, and she also became the first Indian woman ringster to win gold in the Commonwealth Games in 2018. In India, she has received several honors. She is a competent fighter who overcame numerous obstacles in her life to achieve her goal of becoming a bruiser. Mary Kom competed in a variety of sports throughout school, including volleyball, football, and athletics. However, Dingko Singh’s success as an Indian bruiser influenced her decision to transition from athletics to pugilism in 2000.
One of the most difficult problems Mary Kom faced while pursuing a career in slugfest was persuading her family that she could succeed in this sport because, at the time, she was attempting to create a career in something in which women did not often engage. In fact, women were not allowed to follow their passions and were reduced to domestic chores. However, Mary Kom has achieved success in her career due to her devotion and enthusiasm for the glove game. She is also a highly hardworking person who handles everything in her life flawlessly.
